Is this why BSPH students are off their rockers?:p If the acad life is not healthy, at least the non-acad life is.

Literal Piece of Valuable Trash

I can’t help but wonder what Prof Mortel might have been thinking while signing this (if ever she read it). Or whoever who wrote this. Haaaay.
Piece of paper that I will file, though I have a better equivalent in my certificate of grad and October diploma.T_T
It’s worth a burger!! and a Zentea.

Filipino Time
I hate hearing/reading the word “around” in the context of schedules.“I will be there AROUND 5pm” this pretty much means the person saying this will arrive past 5. We are so used to this system that we actually feel a one hour window is acceptable since technically 5:55 is still within the realm of “around 5pm”.
This is so stupid & inconsiderate but most everyone I know does this so it’s not much of a big deal.
What we need to do is remove giving estimates when it comes to schedules & simply give the exact time one prefers. Yes, we are not trains with calculated trajectories that can always arrive exactly on time but we can always be early. If you estimate that you would arrive at 5, give it a buffer & say “I will be there at 5:30”.
Also, traffic is a universal constant around here so remove that from the acceptable excuses of being late. Always plan with traffic in mind. Saying you are late because of traffic is like saying that you are late because our president has no hair on the top of his head. It’s ridiculous.Digs?
It’s my peeve. Aside from me having to get used to it, people should get to being and finishing on time too. I’m actually not sure if I hate starting late, or finishing late more. I guess I hate finishing late when we start late to begin with? And people who just keep talking and talking AND TALKING stuff that goes right through my ears, even if it’s a prayer or a sermon…more so if it’s not, and completely totally humongously irrelevant to my life and death.
On the note of saying “about,” when I say that I do mean sometime before or after the time I stated. I know how to round off 5:55 to 6pm.-_-
Haha. Even if I rant about time, people will just tell me to chill and get used to this horrible attitude, because it seems unchangeable. On one side, there’s the people described above, and then there’s this side, where exact time-keeping is important. They’re both equally bad, and when they clash it’s not a pretty sight.
But what’s the balance, and the way to reach that?

I sure hope the same people who attend Hillsong, Planetshakers, and Passion Conferences aren’t the same people heading to Lady Gaga’s 2-day concert.
Lady Gaga’s music, whatever people may rank of it, is non-negotiable at the moment simply because it’s the total opposite of God-honoring.
Ironically,or not, “God of this City” was written in Pattaya, Thailand, the sex-capital for tourists and slave-trafficking. If this anthem was written in such a place, we’re having the opposite situation in a supposedly Christian nation.
It’s not that I hate Lady Gaga’s music, since I have listened to it before, but I just realized how bad the situation right now is.-_- And I’m reading about the song “God of this City.”:) And I’m learning to pray for countries and nations.
